Huayou Swivel Beam Clamp AS 1576

Short Description:

Huayou swivel beam clamp connects scaffold tubes to structural steel beams at any angle the job needs, not just a right angle. The forged version follows AS 1576, while the pressed type covers JIS A 8951 and KS 3501 for Asian markets. As a scaffold beam clamp built for site work, it takes 48.3mm or 48.6mm tube, handles flanges up to 45mm, and comes painted, e-galvanized or hot dip galvanized. Used in pairs, it keeps tube-and-beam ties firm wherever the scaffolding goes.

A scaffold swivel beam clamp works where a fixed beam fitting cannot. The swivel head sits on a hinge, so the tube can meet a beam at any angle, and the C-shaped jaw grips the flange from the other side. On site the clamp is used in pairs, one on each side of the beam, which mirrors how a fixed beam clamp holds the tube in place.

This fitting also travels under several names. Buyers in some markets ask for a swivel beam coupler, a gravlock coupler or a girder coupler, and they all point to the same article. Huayou makes both the drop forged and pressed steel versions, so a mixed container can carry fittings for English, Australian and Japanese tube standards together.

The forged body carries the heavier flange, up to 45mm, while the pressed steel JIS type takes flanges up to 35mm. Extended jaws are available for 85mm beams. Standard bolts are 21mm with a cross nut and washer; for the USA, Germany and Australia, Huayou supplies 22mm and 23mm flange nuts to match local habits.

FAQS

Q: What is the difference between a swivel beam clamp and a fixed one?

A: A fixed beam clamp holds the tube at 90 degrees. This swivel beam coupler can be set at any angle, which is why it suits raking beams and uneven structures.

Q: How thick a beam flange can the clamp take?

A: The drop forged model handles flanges up to 45mm, the pressed JIS type up to 35mm, and extended jaws reach 85mm.

Q: Do you supply both forged and pressed types?

A: Yes. Both run on separate lines in the same factory, so a single order can mix AS 1576 forged clamps with JIS pressed clamps.

Q: Can the bolt size be changed for my market?

A: Yes. The standard is a 21mm bolt with cross nut and washer; 22mm and 23mm flange nuts are supplied for USA, German and Australian projects.
