Pressed swivel couplers are a type of scaffolding fitting designed to join two tubes at almost any angle. Unlike fixed couplers, they have a joint that rotates. Position the two halves as needed, then tighten the bolt to hold the tubes securely. This makes them suitable for connections that don’t meet at a standard right angle.
The term “pressed” describes how the coupler is manufactured. Huayou forms the body and cover from steel plate using molds and jigs, rather than forging them from round bar. British-standard couplers are made from 5 mm plate, while Japanese and Korean models use 3 mm plate and are lighter.
Huayou also produces pressed sleeve couplers, single couplers and fixed clamps in the same product range, making it easier to combine items in one order. Both swivel coupler styles use grade 8.8 bolts. British-standard models have a 1/2-inch bolt with 21 mm cross nuts and washers; Japanese-standard models use a 7/16-inch bolt with 17 mm flange nuts.

A: The standard O.D. is 48.3mm for the British coupler and 48.6mm for the JIS coupler. 48.3×60mm, 42.7×48.6mm and 42×48.3mm mixed sizes also possible.
